Bristol Bristol Phoenix Choir is a friendly amateur choir which focuses mostly on the classical repertoire, as well as dipping into contemporary composers such as Anna Lapwood and Jonathan Dove and even operatic choruses on occasion. The choir has a long history and has been engaging audiences with high quality performances since 1963.
We are an auditioned choir, of about 70 voices (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) who enjoy and work hard at our weekly rehearsals leading to at least three concerts a year, in a variety of venues across Bristol. We like to participate in the musical life of Bristol, occasionally joining with other choirs for major performances.
Paul Walton, Assistant Organist at Bristol Cathedral, has been our Musical Director since 2012.
